Aqua Ball

I created the graphics and in-game sprites for the Sky TV game 'Aqua Ball'. Part of the challenge was to work within the strict constraints of the satellite box hardware, such as designing the sprites to sit within a limited color palette and pixel size.

Another requirement was the hard outer edge of the sprites. Anti-aliasing occurs naturally in Photoshop, but it wasn't allowed here because BMP sprites don't support alpha transparency; therefore, I had to hand draw the sprites pixel by pixel. The hard edge allowed me to designate a single color background which the programmer keyed out.
