This tells the story of Harry Clasper, who developed a narrow racing boat and perfected the outrigger in the 1840's, which resulted in much greater rowing speed. This animation formed part of an exhibition in the Newcastle Discovery Museum.
I worked with an illustrator on this job who produced a bunch of animated character cells and seperate backgrounds. I composed all the elements together, adding movement, transitions, and camera moves.
